Candy Cane Teapot Cosy

Gee it has been a while since I posted something, I made this for the 'Get Published' challenge by Stampin' Up!
So under all those flowers is a Tea Cosy, fabric is Candy Cane, and I used the Flower Folds die, which I must say makes it really easy, would hate to cut out all those flowers by hand. Real Red Ribbon for the ties, and Subtles and Brights buttons to hold the flowers together and I have used the bakers twine to thread through the buttons. All products used are Stampin Up!

I don't know about you, but I have been watching posts about the Stampin' Up! Leadership in San Antonio over in the States, gee are those girls lucky! I so loved the Notebook/Nook holder they all received. So if you can't beat em' join em! I made my own, slightly different but am quite chuffed with the result. I was on a bit of a roll so I made a wallet as well using the Timeless Portrait fabric from Stampin' Up!

I have wanted to make this for ages and have not had the time. Finally it is made! I cased this out of the Ideas Book & Catalogue. Lots of Gold Smooch Spritz which I have to say is not easy to use, I find the spray bottles way to small, and you can't seem to get it to spray in the direction you want. I got there in the end though.

Birthday Gift Backpack & Card

I made this very cute backpack for my niece's birthday, and filled it with chocolates. It holds quite a lot. If you would like to make one of these you will find the Tutorial on Becky Roberts, Inking Idaho Blog.
Details:
I have used the the Just Add Cake DSP which I really did not like much until I made this. I like it now. Isn't always the way. Other cardstock used was Baja Breeze, Peach Parfait, Whisper White. Bring on the Cake stamp set. Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon, Peach Parfait Stitched Poly Ribbon, Subtles Designer Buttons, Rhinestones, Decorative Label Punch, Scallop Circle Die.

My niece was quite chuffed with it, especially the chocolates inside!

How do you like this little project. I had a lot of fun making this one. Although the decoration was a bit tricky and very gluey, glue everywhere!

Finally got time to enter a challenge, just not enough hours in the day!
Details:
I have used the Scallop Square die & Crumb Cake for the card base. I have then stamped Greeting Card Kids onto some watercolour cardstock and used Aqua Painters to colour in with. Trimmings are Vintage Lace and Baja Breeze Seam Binding. The DSP is Bella Bleu a retired Stampin Up! pack. I am trying to use up all my retired DSP Papers so I can make way for some new ones! Hope you like my take on this challenge.

I will be starting up a class using Stampin' Up's! Days-to-Remember Calendar which is on page 125 of the catty. In the class you will be completing a scrap page for each of the 4 seasons.
Cost of the class will be $40, this includes your calendar and all supplies needed to complete your pages. If you have already ordered the calendar as I know some of you have the cost will be $20.

"Flashing" Hooray!!!!!

Finally after looking for around 18 months, not continually, but every now and then when I see a project made out of flashing or shim I get the urge to try and find where to buy it. I received a gorgeous present made out of flashing from a Secret Sister Swap (thankyou so much Sharyn Corsi) it was a candle holder using the Flower Folds Die. So I got the urge again to go looking for some 'Flashing' and I found it! finally! with no help from the staff at Masters a new hardware conglomerate that has just opened at Nerang. So I have made some more candle holders, and a gorgeous Xmas Tree ornament using the Petal Cone Die! I don't think I will ever make another one as my hands and fingers are covered in cuts, should have worn gloves. I was just too excited lol! So hope you like my 'flashing projects'.

This is a little something I made for a fellow worker who is leaving. Everyone from work volunteered me to make a journal that everyone could write a few words about our co-worker who is leaving. I have decided to do a sketch challenge today, by Craft Project Central.
I have used the Embossed Embossing Technique on the front of the card using Gold embossing powder, then stamped Clearly for You in Gold Embossing powder, Stamped Forever Young Girl Silouette in black and placed a Beveled Windowpane over the top with ribbon. Photo does not do it justice, looks much better in real life lol! Well hope you like it.

Notice Board Card

I based the design of this card on the beautiful Notice Board Melissa Davies made for me during the Winter Swap at Crafters Anonymous. I just thought how cute a card would look made into a mini notice board. I have used the Newsprint DSP as the background, basic black grosgrain ribbon, silver brads. A little bit of stamping here and there, some sponging using River Rock which really comes out quite goldish looking and voila you have it!

Tealight Holder - This was a challenge by Lori of Paper Craft Planet. Great little box to hold your tealights and with the use of tissue paper you can stamp your image, then using the heat gun the stamped tissue paper melts into your candle. Great gift for someone special.

I cased this off a card that Melissa Davies created. I have used Soft Suede, Pink Pirouette, Very Vanilla Cardstock. Quite a lot of sponging with Soft Suede Ink. All images stamped with Soft Suede Ink and some in Pink Pirouette,these are a bit hard to see in the photo. I have used heaps of stamp sets as follows:-

En Francais, Elements of Style, Rustic Rooster, Notably Ornate, Aviary & Bliss (whew!)

I soaked the paper flowers in some water with a few drops of Soft Suede Ink.

Added a few pearls on the flowers.

I just love this card, but I must confess not my idea. I cased it off Sage Kimble she is the Vintage Queen! Wonderful ideas so pop over and have a peek.

Ink Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy and Basic Black.

I must confess I did not come up with this idea, I cased it from Stamping Still some lovely ideas there so go and have a look.

Are these just so gorgeous! I made these during an online class at Crafters' Anonymous with Jane McGlade Smith. They are much bigger than the Milk Carton Die, so you can get heaps more goodies in them!

Woven Easter Basket and Card

I had so much fun making these. I got the idea from Oh My Word Edition 2011 with UStamp Dawn & Friends, you must have a look, so many talented Designers!

The Woven Basket is my take on Twila Davis's Design which I changed to a circle rather than a square basket, and the card is my take on Amy Parker's Tote but I have changed the card quite a bit, just have used the same layout.

This is a card we made in Technique Class using Stampin' Up! crayons.

Cardstock used was Marina Mist, Wild Wasabi DSP and cardstock. Watercolour Paper.

I don't think you can see it but I have used the Champagne Shimmer Paint which now has become my new favourite product!

As one of my passions is patchwork I found this gorgeous little Elf in one of my patchwork magazines and just had to make her out of cardstock and designer paper and other bits and bobs.

I also used the Big Shot Die Blossom Party ( which is my favourite and have used heaps lately). I used Just Believe Stamp Set for the Tag.

I have used Basic Black, Pink Pirouette Cardstock, as well as Love Letter Designer Paper.

Last but not least the stamp set is Elements of Style.
